European Week of Regions and Cities 2020
The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy.
The event has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including their political representatives, officials as well as experts and academics. Over the last 17 years, it has done much to promote policy learning and exchange of good practices.
Given the context of the Covid pandemic19, the European Committee of the Regions and DG Regio have decided that all events will take place online.
The themes for the 2020 edition are: Green Europe / Cohesion and Cooperation / Empowering Citizens

Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency has joined a partnership with regions in Portugal, Spain and Italy to host the "How can regions enable the Green Deal" event, on 20 October 2020. Partners shared their approaches to tackling issues faced in the implementation of their strategies and projects on energy efficiency, contributing to reducing emissions and outlined how these actions help implementing European policy objectives. Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency organized on October 21, 2020, a side event related to the European Week of Regions and Cities, dedicated to social cohesion for the local business environment, with a focus on digitalisation. The event was supported and moderated by EURADA - European Association of Development Agencies. The target audience was the private environment in the Bucharest-Ilfov region, chambers of commerce and industry, as well as local authorities. Read more...
